MY FIRST TIME INSTALLING A LACE FRONT
I know I started this a year ago. It's been a rough 4 years. 2 more days and the world can exhale. I'm getting back to writing and trying to live with a mask, social distancing, and common sense.
I am so proud of myself because I had no room for error. I was doing it for my BIRTHDAY weekend celebration (FEBRUARY 2020). All hell broke loose a week later and you know what I mean. THE PANDEMIC!! Today is January 17th, 2021, and I haven't been out since my birthday weekend.
Back to Miss Lace Front
I had friends coming from NY and I sure didn't want to look crazy and I didn't want to deal with wigs...also no funds for the salon. I have an awesome stylist but it's been a minute. I am REALLY good at doing hair except for cornrows, I've never learned how to do them and I've tried. :-)
YES! I took a risk and purchased my Lace Front Wig from Amazon. I'm a wignista and usually do well buying online. I watched a TON on Youtube videos of lace front installs. I took the best of all and did my thing. So many techniques for the damn stocking cap.
I am still amazed at the price of the wig. We know how expensive a good wig costs!!! This was the bargain of the year. I call it birthday luck. I had a regular wig backup plan in case this failed. :-)
This $35.88 wig, you heard me, I said $35.88!!
It can be curled on low heat, a hot roller set.... It has a nice natural curl already. I was a bit scared looking at the cost. I didn't want to get some Barbie-looking synthetic hair. Yay! the risk paid off.

The lace front came with a pair of complementary eyelashes. I laughed.

I slept in it. I know some remove it nightly. I didn't want to push my luck. I wrapped my hair each night with a silk scarf & silk bonnet. I installed it Thursday evening and removed it Monday afternoon.

Look! at my edges!! You don't see the lace and no baby hairs to disguise it. My inexpensive wig looks fab.
