GRACE JONES
the Madame of all these girls!
OMG! can I get the date and age right?
JUNE 12st, 1995!
GRACE JONES * 47th Birthday Party
The Supper Club - NYC
LEGENDS ONLY!!

My Sister gives me the best surprises. VIP Guest at Grace Jones's Birthday Party is second to my meeting EARTHA KITT. I spent time with Ms. Kitt on a separate occasion. See "My Date With Eartha Kitt", blog post. Thanks, Sharon. I love you.

I'll add a link below to my unimaginable date with Eartha Kitt. I wrote about how my sister the "REAL Lauren Conrad" lol! had access to all the biggest celebrities and events.
I keep getting the date and which birthday bash I attended. I keep thinking it was her 40th....but NO! it was her 47th.
Grace was one of my sister's clients, if you've read my other posts you know she was in Public Relations. Her first boss was Kelly Cutrone in the early days before Kelly became a powerhouse.
We both loved Grace, she knew I was obsessed since I was a teen.
The party was at The Supper Club which was hot in the 90s. This was the height of the 90s club scene just like Stefon said: "a new underground club kicked off every week." Sharon could get me into any club.

It was star-studded and intimate. My table was me, my sister and her other client. Zelma Davis, whom I mix up with Katrin Quinol sometimes. They look alike and both made the BIG mistake of trying to fill Ms. Martha Wash's shoes.
Sharon really was PR icon Kelly Cutrone's blueprint for Lauren Conrad & Kristin Cavallari on that show. Sharon should write a book too. She's got some stories!!! My beautiful sister has her own PR company now.
Cute sidebar: Sharon was David Lee Roth's escort to the infamous MTV Awards when the boys were fighting. I'm talking about Van Halen. I know some of you don't know David Lee Roth or Van Halen. I'm basing that off of Twitter. lol!
GOOD MUSIC DOES NOT HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE!
She also escorted Barbara Streisand to the Grammy's. The Grammy's involves a Metallica story which I find hilarious and will share in a separate post.
Back to the party:
Do you know Zelma? Of course, you do....you simply might not know her name. She was nice, nothing stands out about her at the party. It's Grace Jones in the flesh, we were all in awe.

Miss Zelma had talent but never lived down the infamous lipsync scandal. Her team did her wrong, lipsynching to THEE Martha Wash, of all people.

I love Eartha! Eveyone ones loves Ms. Kitt!

Guests were served dinner & cake. There was a dance floor and a DJ.
Grace danced, mingled, got on the mic...and said some leeeegendary shit. Of course, her mother was there at her table.
We were lucky enough to be in the VIP section behind the velvet ropes.

I tweet about Grace a lot. As I see now these tweets are a mess, boy did I butcher this story. I'm glad I did this post to set the record straight.
I've been to so many events, it's hard to remember. This is mainly why I decided to get out the scrapbooks, pictures, ticket stubs, etc.. and document it properly.

Nobody has caught up to Grace yet. The new girls just discovered they can sample disco beats. lol!
I like Dua, Jesse Ware, Miley is giving me rock realness. IDC, I like to dance....and Miss Ponytail Girl is in rotation.
I regret not going to Ariana's last tour.

Let's talk models?

Sorry, not sorry....the Hadid's, Jenner's, Baldwin's are serving ironing board stiffness. Where is the depth?

The bottom row is giving me stale bread vibes. Maybe I am jaded. Linda, Cindy, Naomi, & Christy set the bar high & the babies haven't reached it. Nepotism modeling ruin it.
Don't get me wrong I do love some of the babies. Let me stop before I sound boomer-ish! Bitch we GEN X! We messy too. LOL!!

I MISS CONCERTS!!!

My blog is so chaotic, like me. I went from Grace Jones's birthday to supermodels. It does tie together.
Anywho, I had a good time and that event goes down as:

Just when I think I'm done...I remember something.
I have to acknowledge the Dolph years. I stanned that couple.

1/1
The Jubilee Concert inspired me to buy a hula hoop. It is my favorite exercise tool along with my mini-trampoline.
Both of which are calling my name. The pandemic, sedentary lifestyle is killing me. :-(
